Trekking Rinjani preparation.

Knowing what you should prepare in advance to join the trekking program will be great. Here is the list:

  1. Physical fitness
  2. Small backpack size, minimum 25 kg
  3. Trekking shoes/trail running shoes
  4. Small towel
  5. Shock
  6. Warm jacket
  7. 2 pieces of T-shirts (one piece every day)
  8. Long trek pants/windproof
  9. Torch or Flashlight
  10. Insect repellent
  11. Sun block/lotion
  12. Spray for muscle/balm
  13. Trekking stick/hiking pole (optional)
  14. Sandals (optional)
  15. Camera, Handycam (Manual or Digital)
  16. Toiletries
  17. Raincoat

  20. A plastic trash bag

Itinerary of Mount Rinjani Crater Rim trekking:

Day 01. Walk for 6 hours with a 9,2km distance.

  1. Registration at the RTC ( Rinjani Trekking Centre Senaru 601m )
  2. Prepare for trekking at 07.30 – 08.00 AM. Start walking in the open views for 30 minutes with a green coffee tree plant.
  3. Walk 30 minutes more to the gate of the tropical rain forest, a 15-minute short break.
  4. Walk through the jungle for 3 hours to POS 2 ( 1.500m ) and see wild animals on the way.
  5. Take a break at POS 2; our porter and guide will prepare fresh fruits and soft drinks.
  6. Continue to POS 3 ( 2.000m ) and pass the tropical forest with a 3-hour walk.
  7. Lunch at POS 3.
  8. Continue to crater Rim of Senaru ( 2.641m ), a one-hour walk
  9. Camping and overnight at Crater Rim Senaru, enjoy an amazing sunset over 3 Gili’s and Mount Agung Bali.

Mount Rinjani Crater Rim

Day 02: Walk for 3 hours with a 2.5 km distance

  1. Breakfast and enjoy the sunrise over Lake Segara Anak view ( 2.641m )
  2. Walk down to the lake, where the route is quite steep and slippery.
  3. Beautiful scenery along the way down, a 2-hour walk down to Segara Anak Lake.
  4. Lunch at Segara Anak
  5. Hot spring water is only 10 minutes from the lake. You can soak in it to heal your skin as medicine and in a natural hot spa.
  6. Overnight at Segara Anak Lake

Day 03: Walk for 7-8 hours with a 12km distance

  1. Breakfast at 07.30 – 08.00 AM
  2. Prepare to trek back to Senaru Crater Rim for 3 hours. Will be at crater RIM Senaru at 11.00 AM
  3. Short break and enjoy the view from crater RIM of Senaru, an overview of Segara Anak Lake
  4. Walk down to Senaru village. Lunch between POS3 or POS 2 ( fresh fruit, tea/coffee).
  5. Arrive at Senaru village at approximately 5.00 PM
  6. Prepare your luggage for the next transfer ( Senggigi, Mataram, or Bangsal Harbor)
  7. End of service
