Important: Please read all terms and conditions thoroughly before booking with Senaru Trekking. This ensures a full understanding of the service standards and operational policies provided by our partners in Labuan Bajo.

1. Itinerary Modifications and National Park Capacity Restrictions

  • Schedule Variations: In the event of adverse weather or unfavorable maritime conditions, itineraries may be modified to prioritize guest safety. Compliance with these operational safety adjustments is mandatory for all participants.
  • Alternative Destinations: To comply with environmental regulations, Komodo National Park enforces strict daily visitor caps. If Padar Island reaches its government-mandated limit on your tour date, an alternative destination (such as Kenawa Island or a comparable park site) will be substituted.
  • Advance Reservations: Due to exceptionally high demand and strictly limited daily permits, early booking is required to guarantee your admission into the national park.

2. The Boats & Accommodation Standards

  • Traditional Wooden Boats: Our boats are built by hand from wood by local craftsmen, using classic Indonesian designs.
  • Basic Facilities: Onboard facilities are simple and practical. They match the standard style used for long boat trips in this region.
  • Set Your Expectations: This trip is a rustic, authentic adventure, not a luxury cruise. Please make sure this level of comfort fits your needs before booking.
  • Cabin Dimensions: Cabins feature a compact layout optimized for maritime space. Please note that actual dimensions may feel smaller than they appear in promotional photography.

3. Maintenance & Replacement Policy.

  • Maintenance and Operational Safety: To ensure optimal passenger safety and comfort, all partner vessels undergo routine inspections. Due to the demanding nature of regional ocean currents, accelerated mechanical wear can occur, occasionally requiring unscheduled operational adjustments.
  • Breakdowns During the Trip: In the rare event of an engine or technical issue during your tour, we will immediately arrange a replacement boat so you can finish your trip.
  • Breakdowns Before Departure: If a mechanical issue happens right before your trip starts, we will contact you immediately to show you available backup boat options.
  • Price Changes: Replacement boats may have different layouts and prices. Your final bill will be adjusted up or down based on the new boat you choose.
  • Working Together: Your safety is our top priority. We will work closely with you during any boat change to make sure your trip continues smoothly.

4. Boat Power & Noise – Komodo Booking Policy.

  • Overnight Power: The boat’s generator runs all night to power the lights and air conditioning.
  • Engine Noise: Standard boats in this region do not have soundproofing. You will hear the engine and generator noise inside your cabin, especially when the boat moves at night.
  • Sleep Comfort: This noise is normal for all Komodo cruise boats. If you are a light sleeper, we strongly recommend bringing earplugs or noise-canceling headphones to help you get a good night’s rest.

5. Boat Cleaning & Hygiene Protocols – Komodo Booking Policy.

  • Deep Cleaning After Every Trip: To ensure the highest hygiene standards, every boat is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected immediately after each tour ends.
  • Fresh Cabin Linens: All bedding—including duvets, mattress protectors, and pillowcases—is professionally washed and completely replaced with fresh linens before new guests arrive.

6. Pest Control & Prevention

  • Regular Deep Cleaning: Every boat goes through a full pest control treatment and fumigation every 6 to 8 months when it is out of the water for maintenance.
  • Tropical Environment: In the tropics, small insects can multiply quickly and are sometimes brought onboard by accident inside guests’ luggage from the mainland.
  • Quick Support: If you see any insects during your trip, please do not worry. Just tell our onboard crew right away, and they will take care of it immediately.
